Procraftination: Snow day crafting and vintage-inspired TV

So here I am at 8.30am in my pyjamas and in bed! Am I ill? Nope I’ve just booked myself a few days holiday ahead of the new trainee journalists starting in March. Yippee!

At the weekend I headed across to Lincolnshire to visit family and raid their charity shops (with great success!) and now I’m back in the North West plotting my next move.

I’d intended to wrap up and head out for a mooch around Wigan, however those plans were stymied when I opened the curtains and saw a charming combination snow on the ground and hailstones pounding the window.

Having bid a hasty retreat back to bed I’ve decided to embrace the bad weather and stay indoors.

And it’s not all bad, remember the Breton jumper that I’ve been blogging about at great length? Well today’s the day I tackle the sleeves and start blocking it.

I’ve got plenty of great TV to keep me company including Dancing on the Edge….

… and Call the Midwife.

This combined with endless cups of tea and a cheeky Jane Austen period drama thrown in at some point should make for a relaxed but productive day.

What are your plans?

  1. Sounds like you’re having a great time. I’ve head good things about the Lincolnshire chazzas, I reckon a road trip could be on the cards when Gilbert’s back on the road in Spring! xxx
